Hunt’s Baked Oysters

Hunt's Baked Oysters

hunts baked oysters

There’s only two places that really shine for baked oysters in Bay County, and Hunt’s is one of them. Topped with just a little cheese and baked just to that just-done point, that oyster flavor and texture stays intact. They are still just about as good as a raw one on a saltine with cocktail sauce and horseradish. Compare this to some other joints where the toppings are overwhelming and almost blasphemous.

It’s important to note that during summer months, oysters are often going to be smaller. That’s part of the real deal about the so-called “ber” months – they’ve had time to grow. But hey, some of those actually prefer the one-biters.

Hunt’s oysters are kind of like a religion for those who know PC. It’s the kind of place where you say, “I don’t want this night to end.” Y’all know if it’s good enough for Luke Bryan (a regular), then it’s good enough for me.
