Andy’s Flour Power Cafe & Bakery
2629 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach
SoCal, healthy vibe where you’ll completely escape the feeling of being in the Bible Belt. Yes, I’ll have a Breakfast Martini with my veggie frittata and blueberry crumble muffin. This is where the cool moms go.

Amore Donuts
14508 Front Beach Road, Panama City Beach
Early morning simple spot across from Runaway Island with unique donut selection, 5-star apple fritters and breakfast biscuits. Popular selections like maple bacon tend to sell out early. Doubles as a lesser-known pizza spot af lunchtime.

Back Beach Barbecue
19714 Back Beach Rd, Panama City Beach
Breakfast is a newer addition to this beloved 5-year-old joint known for smoked brisket and sides like they are fresh from a church homecoming. Creative choices include pulled-pork biscuits and brisket-hash breakfast tacos.
Menu
Blue Top Waffle Shop
2802 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach
Local, low-key favorite with waffles, omelets, traditional breakfast and meat+3 lunches. Like a flashback to a wholesome ’70s hangover breakfast in an old Waffle House kind of building. Good bet if you’re ready to eat at 6 am.

Dat Cajun Place
2705 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach
Sunday brunch with jazz music and football from 10-2 on Sundays. New Orleans-inspired menu with eggs benedict, French toast, omelets and bottomless mimosas.
Menu
Donut Hole
12983 US-98 E, Rosemary Beach
Some of you will remember when the first Donut Hole opened in Destin in the late 1970s. It made breakfast a thing again and the lines were insane. Def an event breakfast. Family-owned, the Panama City one is actually on the east end of Rosemary, meaning you don’t have to go quite as far west as it seems. Hearty, legendary breakfast, donuts, and lunch from 6 am til 10 pm.

Fatty Patty’s
2705 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach
Homestyle breakfast with cinnamon rolls talked about so much they are nearly scandalous. Opens at 7 daily (except Mondays) and moves into lunch mode (sandwiches). Interestingly, both the restaurants successes and challenges following Hurricane Michael were chronicled on Undercover Chef.
Menu
Funland
14510 Front Beach Road, Panama City Beach
Eat breakfast where your great-grandpa did. Nothing fancy (and that’s the charm), but incredibly friendly folks serving up classic bacon and eggs, grits, hashbrowns, biscuits and hotcakes. Daily starting at 7:30 am.
Menu
Grand Marlin
5323 N. Lagoon Drive, Panama City Beach
High-end fancy brunch on Sundays from 10-2 with fresh raw oysters, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and other after-church religious experiences. Reservations recommended.
Menu
Gypsea Crepes
7008 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach
Beachy, millennial alternative to the same-old, same-old. Pretty much the opposite of Cracker Barrel. The selection of sweet and savory crepes includes various versions of breakfast crepes all served in an Instagrammy cone shape.

Jesse’s Place
7008 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach
Yet another hole-in-the-wall breakfast spot on the east end. This one is true-blue southern, veteran-owned and could just as easily be on an old country road. Also has an affordable, bikini-busting, lunch-time meat+3. Recently changed hands as well as approach to some menu items.
Menu
Liza’s Kitchen
7328 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach
Not-your-everyday sandwich shop by any stretch but has traditional breakfast and brunch on the weekends. In an easy-to-miss, worn down strip shopping center. Menu items include favorites such as Hippie Hash. Actually IS one of those places people like to keep quiet so others don’t find out.
Menu
Sunrise Cafe & Bakery
10616 Front Beach Road, Panama City Beach
Sunny and busy little spot with an Alice-in-Wonderland feeling. All appears normal at breakfast with waffles and bacon and sausage and croissants. But linger a little longer and there’s an identity change at lunch. In addition to a few American offerings (cheeseburger, club sandwich), you can also select from a “European menu” that includes pork schnitzel, pumpkin samsa, Russian meatballs, or lagman. But wait, there are also waffle rolls, cakes, and fried, glazed croissants.
Menu
Taylor’s
1114 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach
New kid on the block (since 2019) serving breakfast (and lunch) from 7 am all the way to 2 pm. One of few local establishments with avocado toast. Has the usual pancakes, eggs and such but also some creative items like Colorado Jack Scramble. Falls into that bougie price and climate space between mom and pop shop and the elites like Grand Marlin.
Menu
Thomas Donuts
5323 N. Lagoon Drive, Panama City Beach
Extremely popular 50-year-old donut and snack shop with a window full of cream-filled, chocolate-covered concoctions on the west end. Postcard beach view and long, long lines.
